With your hosts Jimmy, Ray, Sam and Ange… these boys bring you a show different to any format heard before. The boys present the listener a show based around cheese. This is suppose to represent that the show is pretty ‘cheesy’. I would have to agree. I was confused at times trying to figure out what the hosts were talking about. At one point it sounded like they were going into a vox pop about a cheese company in Warnambool, but it turned out not to be the case when the backing music for the alured ‘vox pop’ faded out to the sound of the hosts talking nonsense until the intro of the song. This segment of the show last for a minute and a half.
For the first 30mins i couldn’t belive how much they talked about cheese, and making jokes about cheese. I was left wondering how could anyone listen to this and not feel disinterested. Even though their goal is to be a ‘cheesy’ radio program… I’m left to think, do they go overboard with the cheesyness.
The hosts appear to be friends from school. This was made aware when one of them made a reference to the days while they were at school. They would also make joke that would appear funny to them, but I’d doubt that anyone would understand the joke. Discussions were also taken place about serious issues, but were made boring due to the lack of preperation or lack of interest of talking about the topic.
The only good thing to come out of listening to this program was the song choices that were made. But the intro’s to the songs could be needing a little bit of work. I noticed that during the intro’s the name of the band was mentioned but the song was missed because the hosts would talk over each other and you would miss the name of the up-coming track. Occasionally someone would mention the name of the track just before the song comes on, but that was rare in itself.
